Because Of A Cross Endured And A Tomb Abandoned

Because the Son of God became Son of Man,

Because he chose to step outside the heaven that glorified him to the earth that turned away,

Because he taught with parables and miracles and then with the ultimate sacrifice,

Because of a cross endured and a tomb abandoned…

I am forgiven.

Therefore…

I have a personal relationship with the God of the universe.

I am covered with limitless love and endless grace.

I have a hope and a future. A purpose.

I have a name and an identity. An adopted family.

I can be me and still belong. I can mess up and still be excused.

I receive wisdom. And comfort and peace. And joy. And strength and provision.

I have access to armies of angels and to a still, small voice that guides me.

I am being renewed, not condemned to stay the same. I am granted his very mind.

I participate in the plans of the Creator. I am entrusted with talents that reflect and glorify him.

I have the promise of eternity in his presence. And of seeing loved ones again.

I don’t have to fear. I am never alone.

All because of a cross endured and a tomb abandoned… and I choose to believe.

For if you tell others with your own mouth that Jesus Christ is your Lord and believe in your own heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in his heart that a man becomes right with God; and with his mouth he tells others of his faith, confirming his salvation. (Romans 10:9-10, Living Bible)
